The Internet Society Blockchain SIG will participate in ICANN60’s session on Emerging Identifiers Technology session on 31 October. ISOC-BSIG’s Chair Pindar Wong will share the panel with other distinguished speakers from Ethereum, ICANN and UPC-Barcelona Tech. The session is open to attend and will address new technologies that affect or propose new approaches to the unique identifier system that ICANN helps coordinate. This session will help raise awareness on these emerging technology within ICANN community. The areas to be covered include the Digital Object Architecture (DOA), Ethereum Name Service (ENS) and blockchain applications to Internet identifiers.

ICANN60 will be held during 28 October – 3 November in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates and will be ICANN’s Annual General Meeting for 2017. This seven-day meeting will be focused on outreach, capacity building, and showcasing ICANN’s work to a broader global audience.
