The Internet Society Blockchain Special Interest Group (ISOC-BSIG) was formed in 2016 to explore and promote the potential uses and applications of blockchain technology to enhance the Internet ecosystem. It has a global target and will serve persons who live or work anywhere around the world. As with the case with other ISOC SIGs, ISOC chartered ISOC-BSIG, whose bylaws neither supersede nor abrogate any of the Bylaws of the Internet Society that regulate SIG affairs.
